Sottodiciotto Film Festival - Torino Screens Young , the most important national festival dedicated to "young cinema" of yesterday, today, but most of tomorrow, has always been a place of encounter and dialogue which aims to give visibility and promoting audiovisual products made by children as an expression of their initiative and creativity. In the competitive section, next to the competition for schools, the Festival, therefore, also announces this year's national under 18 competition extrascuola a unique opportunity for all young fans of audiovisual to test their talent, show their work and measure with a real audience. The contest is free subject film, completed after September 1, 2010 and no longer than 30 minutes. are allowed to film guys who have not yet turned 19 on June 30, 2011, produced independently - alone or in groups - or under the supervision of a teacher or a specialist.
L a request for registration is free and must be submitted via the official card by June 30, 2011, accompanied by a copy of the film in DVD.

The Festival will communicate by September 20, 2011 the outcome of the selection by sending a e-mail to the proponent. The programming of the selected films will be published on www.sottodiciottofilmfestival.it.
A specific jury of experts, consist of not fewer than three people, will award prizes provided without the possibility of a tie, the winning authors. Sottodiciotto Filmfestival , che negli anni ha riscosso un crescente successo di pubblico ( 35.630 presenze nel 2010), dedicherà la XII edizione al tema della legalità , intesa come imprescindibile elemento fondante del patto sociale ed espressione di una cultura portatrice di valori e diritti fondamentali, quali la reciprocità, la pari dignità, la libertà, la solidarietà e la sicurezza, che ogni nuova generazione deve imparare a riconoscere e tutelare, aderendo a regole condivise nell'ottica di un’educazione alla civile convivenza democratica.
