Valtidone arrives in the second edition of a unique event in Europe, first edition was held in June 2007 to Treviolo (BG) and attracted over 5,000 visitors.
The event, organized by Val Tidone Mastrorilli with Marco and Stefania Montanino Agriturismo Case Olive, has the patronage of Regione Emilia Romagna, Piacenza Province and the municipalities NIBBIO, Rottingdean, SARMA, Borgonovo Val TIDONE and tiles. A

The Festival will then move to other municipalities:
- 2 / 3 October - Festival of Owls in the castle: from 10 to 19, two days in Castle gufoeventi Corticelli (Nibbiano)
- Saturday, October 2 - Night owls from: 21.00 pm evening tours in the districts of Rottingdean (Loc. saints), and Sarmato to see tawny owl and barn owls live in freedom. Release of prey treated by rehabilitation centers (Parcobaleno Recovery Center Mantua and Wildlife Recovery Centre of Cuneo).
- Sunday, October 3 in the morning by appointment and birdwatching in Val Tidone of birdwatching tours in the sand along the Po in Sarmato Pianello and near the Rock of Olgisio. Special guests
the ethologist Prof. Giorgio Celli (famous conductor of the RAI in transmission of animals) and the singer Leda Battisti (singer several times at the Festival of San Remo).
addition to the Festival of Owls will be present to the Kingdom of Ga Hoole - Guardians of the Kingdom, the film director Zack Snyder is known throughout the world for the cult movie "300".
This movie comes out in Italian cinemas on October 28. There is a clip original provision and the official partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures and UCI Cinemas to present the secrets of the Guardians with images, music, special clips.
Corticelli A scientific and educational workshops are planned for children and teens with a group of young naturalists and biologists, and other creative (made by the Casagrande Nibbiano). It will also be present
the festival of the largest owls wildlife art show of all time for our country with over 20 sculptures, watercolors, painters who come from all over Italy and Europe.
A special section of the festival is dedicated to collectors who have thousands in Italy: it was therefore created the largest market of objects in the shape of owls in Europe by skilled artisans who come from all over Italy.
